Súper Chedraui

Wish we had discovered this grocery store sooner. We're staying at the Westin Lagunamar, so it's not walking distance. Short taxi ride, roundtrip about $30 US dollars. Much more of a variety and 2 levels. Bring bags unless you want to pay for their bags, which are kind of small. Prices are good and friendly staff. This is where we will continue to go.

Súper Chedraui is a great place to buy souvenir gifts and offers an added bonus on its upper floor—an enticing food court with a pleasant view of the river. At Súper Chedraui, you can find a wide range of souvenir gifts to take back as mementos of your trip. From traditional handicrafts to local products, the store offers plenty of options to choose from, allowing you to find the perfect souvenir for yourself or your loved ones. Additionally, the upper floor of Súper Chedraui boasts a food court that provides not only delicious meals but also a lovely view of the nearby river. It's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal while taking in the scenic surroundings.

It seems a lot of locals visit here especially on the 3rd floor where there is a Sushi bar, salad bar, pizza & pasta, Tortas, other hot food at reasonable prices. There are tables to eat at as well. You pay at a cashier and then enjoy. There is a coffee and ice cream section too. As other markets, they have a wonderful panadería also! The fresh fruits and vegetables are on this level as well.

I recently checking out this super market, and let me tell you, it's impressive! The atmosphere is modern and clean, with plenty of space to roam around and find anything you're looking for. Good food court, which boasts a beautiful terrace with stunning views. They even have a great selection of pastries and a section dedicated to alcoholic beverages. That being said, I did notice that most of the products and signs were in Spanish. This might be a bit challenging for those who don't speak the language, but don't worry - it's still worth a visit. The staff members were all fluent in Spanish, which could be a bit intimidating for non-Spanish speakers, but they were friendly and willing to help. Overall, I highly recommend this super market for anyone looking for an exceptional shopping experience with a fantastic food court.

Giant 2 story grocery located in the NE corner of the Hotel strip, this is an easy place to stop if you're taking the R1/R2 bus and there is a taxi stand just outside the store if you load up with too much stuff and feel like haggling for an expensive trip back to the hotel. This store has pretty much everything you'll need for an extended stay without eating out every night. Drinks, fresh fruits and bread, meats, cosmetics, cleaning supplies, milk & dairy, etc. There is even a small food court upstairs with lots of options to choose from. Prices seem very reasonable too - but we never stopped by truly "local" places to compare. However those would have required much longer trips so I'm leaning toward convenience here. The store was generally clean and secure. Overall highly recommended.
